Role and Responsibilities

Rystad Energy is seeking ambitious and motivated analysts to contribute to the development of our core Energy Transition related products. We are constantly improving and expanding our product portfolio, and these new roles will form an integral piece of our ongoing development. The foundation of our products is a high volume of factual data combined with sophisticated in-house data management systems and forecasting tools, which model the physical and market-based mechanisms governing global energy systems.

In this round, we are looking for strong research and data analyst candidates to join us in the teams that develop our Battery Solutions. Refer desired qualifications on requirements for different roles.

• Maintain and regularly update research tables and models pertinent to the battery market.
• Undertake regular data entry tasks ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of quarterly battery market reports.
• Communicate and coordinate with the wide battery team in Bangalore, London, Oslo, and Shanghai as well as other key products and stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in the battery recycling and small lithium battery markets (consumer electronics, 2 and 3 wheelers, portable energy storage, etc).
• Present data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Stay updated with the latest tools and techniques in data analysis to ensure cutting-edge reporting and insights.
• Contribute to management consulting projects within the energy transition area, when relevant.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

An individual with the highest levels of energy, determination and analytical ability is a must, combined with excellent communication, presentation skills. You will have fared successfully in academics, participated in curricular and will have these qualifications:

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in data modeling using programming languages, especially Scala or DevOps.
• A genuine interest in market research and the ever-evolving world of battery technology.
• A proactive, keen-to-learn attitude, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Background in battery, Electric Vehicle (EV), or Energy Storage Systems (ESS) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills in English.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in quantitative analysis and deriving insights from complex data sets.
